There are many kinds of ores, in addition to metal ores and non-metallic ores, metal ores are also divided into natural ores, sulfide ores, oxidized ores and mixed ores according to the chemical state of the metal. Minerals where useful minerals are natural elements are called natural ores, such as gold, silver, platinum, elemental sulfur, etc. The characteristic of sulfide ores is that the useful minerals are sulfide, such as chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), galena (PbS), etc. Useful minerals in oxidized ores are oxides, such as magnetite (Fe3O4), hematite (Fe2O3) and so on. There are both sulfide and oxidized minerals in the mixed ore.
When the ore contains only one useful metal, it is called a mono-metal ore; When there are more than two metals, they are called polymetallic ores.
